The overarching importance of maintaining a healthy mind and body is woven deeply into the school’s culture and educational philosophy. To help children grow into life-long learners and responsible citizens, we cultivate the body as well as the mind. Our coordinated school health model fully integrates nutrition, physical activity, mental health.

The Votes are in – Parents Win!
A new menu item is on its way to SOAR students, thanks to our parents.
Tonight, they battled it out with staff in an Iron Chef competition,
answering food and nutrition questions for a chance to add ingredients
for the new recipe. The SOAR student nutrition council were judges and
voted that the parent’s veggie riblet wrap; beat the staff’s Asian
wrap. Both wraps were yummy and we had a great time! Rumor has it
that staff may be asking for a rematch…so look for more to come on that.
Big thanks to Jenny and Matt at Revolution Foods for all their hard
work in putting this event together!
